Set up Trayzen, explore its apps and Windows tools, and find the settings and shortcuts you need.
Getting started
Installation
Microsoft Store is the recommended install path. Check the official listing for availability and pricing in your region. The Store delivers the signed package, required runtime, and future updates through Windows.
The Store release is not available yet. Check Microsoft Store for availability and local pricing.

Use the official Trayzen listing in Microsoft Store.
- 2Install the app
Windows validates the package and installs the required app runtime.
- 3Launch Trayzen
Choose the modules you want and keep the others disabled until you need them.
Getting started
First run
Trayzen is modular. Start with the workflows you already use, confirm their global shortcuts, and add the rest later from Settings.
Choose standalone Trayzen apps, then enable only the capture, media, and system tools you want.
Trayzen shows active global shortcuts on Home and lets you change supported capture bindings.
Keep Trayzen available from the notification area or launch only when you need it.
Trayzen apps
Focused apps that still feel like one Windows experience.
Notes
A focused local notebook for ideas, details, and follow-ups.
- Write with titles, bold, italic, underline, links, lists, and checklists.
- Organize notes into folders and tags, pin important notes, and search as you type.
- Attach a reminder date and collect upcoming follow-ups in one view.
- Duplicate notes, restore recently deleted items, and let changes save automatically.
Notes work offline. Optional encrypted sync is available in Sync & backup.
Reminders
Tasks, lists, dates, and priorities in a dedicated Windows app.
- Create a reminder from quick input, then add notes and subtasks when you need more detail.
- Move between Today, Scheduled, All, Flagged, and Completed smart lists.
- Set a date and time, priority, repeat schedule, section, tags, and optional location.
- Create your own lists and search across reminders without sending them to a cloud service.
Reminder data and list organization stay with the current Windows user.
Automations
Reusable Windows workflows built from clear, ordered actions.
- Run a workflow manually or when the Automations app opens.
- Open an app, file, folder, or URL, wait between steps, copy text, or show a Windows notification.
- Store local variables and use a simple match condition to skip the next action.
- Reorder actions, enable only the workflows you trust, and run them from one focused workspace.
Automation definitions and execution stay on your PC. Review every action before enabling a workflow.
Preview
A standalone viewer for opening everyday files quickly.
- Open or drop images, PDF documents, text files, Markdown, JSON, source code, and other supported text formats.
- Keep recent files close in the sidebar and reopen them with one click.
- Zoom, pan, fit, and rotate supported images without starting a heavyweight editor.
- Copy the path or file, save a copy, inspect document details, or continue in the default app.
Preview is the persistent viewer. Quick Preview is the separate Space-bar overlay used directly from File Explorer.
Journal
A private, searchable timeline for thoughts, memories, and daily notes.
- Create multiple journals and search or filter their entries by favorites.
- Add a title, mood, tags, formatted text, and file attachments to an entry.
- Review simple writing insights while entries save locally as you work.
- Export an entry as Markdown or plain text when you want a portable copy.
Journal entries stay local unless you enable app settings and content sync, export them, or move a copy.
System Care
A clear, guarded workspace for PC health, cleanup, storage, apps, and trusted Windows repair tools.
- Review Windows and Defender health signals before opening the right system surface.
- Scan selected cleanup categories, large files, duplicates, startup items, drives, installed apps, and verified leftovers.
- Move reviewed duplicate copies and supported leftovers to the Recycle Bin instead of deleting blindly.
- Launch trusted repair, update, privacy, recovery, storage, and diagnostic tools from one toolbox.
The Microsoft Store edition runs without administrator access: it offers user-level settings, service information, and saved performance results. System-wide changes, automatic restore points, and administrator repairs are available only in the direct desktop edition; Store users can open the corresponding Windows tools.
OLED Care
Display selection, supported hardware controls, and simple panel inspection.
- Select the exact display before changing brightness or requesting maintenance.
- Request the monitor's own pixel-refresh cycle after confirmation. Sending a request does not confirm completion.
- Adjust hardware brightness when DDC, the monitor's current mode, and its connection support it.
- Open a black or solid-colour inspection surface on the selected display; press Escape or click to close.
- Controls stay unavailable when the physical display cannot be identified safely, including cloned configurations. Rescan after reconnecting a monitor.
Direct refresh currently supports only the verified AOC AG326UD profile over a supported NVIDIA connection. These tools do not repair permanent burn-in or replace the manufacturer's care schedule.
Productivity
Move faster without leaving what you are doing.
Quick Preview
See a selected Explorer item without waiting for its full app to open.
- Press Space in File Explorer when exactly one supported item is selected.
- Preview images, animated media, audio, video, text, source code, PDF files, folders, archives, fonts, and shell thumbnails.
- Browse neighboring items with the keyboard and optionally keep a preview above other windows.
- Bounded text and archive limits keep unusually large items responsive.
Previews stay local. Trayzen does not upload the selected item or execute scripts from HTML previews.
Windows
Useful system controls, with Windows still in charge.
Task Separator
Group your pinned taskbar apps with simple dividing lines.
- Turn on Task Separator in Trayzen settings and choose Add separator.
- In the setup window, right-click the new line on the taskbar and choose Pin to taskbar.
- Drag the pinned line between your apps, then close the setup window. Add more separators for more groups.
- To remove a separator, unpin it in Windows first, close its setup window, then delete it in Trayzen.
Pinned separators remain when Trayzen is closed or this tool is off. Windows controls pinning, placement, and unpinning.
Theme automation
Move Windows and supported apps between light and dark mode at the right moment.
- Use fixed light and dark hours or local sunrise and sunset calculations.
- Switch Windows surfaces, supported apps, and optional light or dark wallpapers.
- Wait for fullscreen games, presentations, or video before changing the theme.
- Prefer dark mode on battery, pause the schedule, or switch immediately with a global shortcut.
Solar coordinates stay on your PC and are used only for the daylight calculation.
Capture & control
Keep the controls you reach for close to your work.
Screenshots & video
Capture the exact area you need, finish it locally, and control how the result is saved.
- Select an area with a magnifier, optional delay, and a Windows-accent or custom selection color.
- Annotate with pen, highlight, arrows, and redaction, or extract text with local Windows OCR.
- Save PNG or JPEG screenshots and restore recent captures in a lightweight gallery.
- Record selected regions with quality profiles, countdown, cursor control, microphone and system audio, and GPU-aware H.264 encoding.
Recordings can include your microphone, Windows system audio, or both. If FFmpeg is missing, install the verified build from Capture settings. Screenshots and OCR do not need it.
Media Controller
Playback, progress, source switching, and volume in a compact surface that follows your Windows media session.
- Use a taskbar dock or freely positioned desktop widget across supported displays.
- Switch between detected media sessions and choose a preferred player.
- Show playback controls, progress, volume, metadata, artwork-driven accents, and an audio visualizer.
- Hide during fullscreen apps or games and tune transient or always-visible behavior.
Audio & devices
Windows sound outputs, volume, and headphone state in one dedicated workspace.
- Switch the active Windows output and control volume or mute without opening Settings.
- See paired Bluetooth headphones and battery levels exposed by their driver.
- Show optional connection, output-change, and low-battery cards without stealing focus.
- Opt into play-on-connect, pause-on-disconnect, and preferred-output switching.
Call Dock
Compact Discord call status and audio controls placed close to the taskbar.
- Keep the dock visible while Discord is open or actively using the microphone.
- Choose screen, taskbar position, compact mode, and fullscreen behavior.
- Show microphone mute, speaker mute, and an optional compact input level meter.
- Keep Trayzen media and call surfaces out of supported screen sharing and capture flows with privacy mode.

Keyboard shortcuts
These are the current defaults. Capture shortcuts can be changed from Trayzen settings.
Sync & backup
Optional encrypted sync for Notes, app settings and content using your Microsoft account.
- Open Sync & backup in Trayzen settings, connect your Microsoft account, and set a separate sync password.
- Enable Notes and app settings and content independently. Content includes reminders, journals and automations. Use the same sync password on another device.
- Selected content is encrypted on your device before upload to your private OneDrive app folder. Device credentials and installed programs do not transfer.
- Conflicting edits are kept as labelled copies.
Disconnecting stops sync on this device but does not delete files already stored in OneDrive. Trayzen and Microsoft cannot recover your sync password.
Reference
Privacy & local data
Trayzen is designed around local Windows APIs and explicit actions. Its core workflows do not require a cloud account.
Core tools process files and captures locally. Optional sync can transfer encrypted notes, app settings and content to your OneDrive app folder. No Trayzen account is required.
